AmIncome Flexi bond fund to attract RM200m investments
KUALA LUMPUR: AmInvest, the asset management arm of AMMB Holdings Bhd, is eyeing a take up of RM200mil for the third series of its AmIncome Flexi bond fund.
The
three-year closed-ended fund, targeted at investors seeking regular
income and potentially higher returns than fixed deposits but lower
risk than equities, was launched on Tuesday.
AmIncome Flexi 3
had already garnered RM60mil in assets since its offer period opened on
May 9, 2013, AmInvest director of retail funds Ng Chze How told
reporters at the launch event.
The first and second tranches of
AmIncome Flexi were launched on Sept 18 and Dec 12 last year, achieving
RM100mil and RM250mil in assets under management, respectively, he
added.
"Given ample liquidity from the various central bank
easing measures, the bond market is expected to be well supported in
2013," AmInvest chief investment officer for fixed income Goh Wee Peng
said.
AmIncome Flexi 3, which will invest in domestic and/or
foreign sovereign issues bonds and corporate bonds, aims to provide
annual income distribution throughout its three-year tenure, AmInvest
said.
The fund has an offer period of 45 days, which commenced in May 9, 2013, and ends on June 22, 2013 at a price of RM1 per unit.
It is available at Alliance Bank, CIMB Bank, Citibank, Maybank, OCBC Bank and all AmBank branches.
