KUALA LUMPUR (May 22): Genetec TECHNOLOGY [] Bhd has secured new orders worth a total of RM31.1 million, which it said will contribute positively to its earnings for the financial year ending March 31, 2014 (FY14).

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the ACE Market company said of the RM31.1 million in orders, RM25.2 million worth of order is for hard disk drives, RM3.6 million is for automotive products and another RM2.3 million comprises "others".

“The tenure of the contracts normally ranges from three to nine months depending on the size of order and scope of work,” Genetec explained.

“The contracts are on project basis and we do not foresee any risk pertaining to new secured orders.”

Genetec was traded unchanged at 13 sen today with 10,000 shares changed hands.
