ECM Libra plans to exit PN17 by year-end

KUALA LUMPUR: ECM Libra Financial Group Bhd plans to exit Practice Note 17 by year-end on completion of its self-regularisation exercise.
Group chief executive officer Azlin Arshad
said on Thursday the group would continue to grow its existing
businesses of asset management and structured lending, more
aggressively.
She said ECM Libra also plans to set up a corporate finance advisory unit.
"We
are confident that we are able to show two consecutive quarters of
profitability to Bursa Malaysia," she told reporters after its AGM on
Thursday.
Azlin also said the group's balance sheet was clean which would enable it to fund its lending business.
However,
the financial services provider would not rush into acquiring other
entities unless the opportunity could complement its existing business.
