Lafarge Cement positive on markets, mulls expanding capacity

KUALA LUMPUR: Lafarge Malayan Cement Bhd is positive on the domestic and export market while it keeps its eye on expanding its capacity.
"We are confident on the demand from the domestic market driven by the ongoing implementation of projects under the ETP and other property development projects online," said president and CEO Bradley Mulroney on Thursday.
He
said the export market is stable and the company will start exporting
to Myanmmar soon, and other markets that would be opening up.
"We
are also considering to increase our capacity, but this will only be
finalised in our upcoming board meeting in August," he said.
