KUALA LUMPUR (July 15): PROTASCO BHD [] has bagged a RM23 million contract from the Public Works Department (JKR) to maintain roads in Sarawak.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Protasco, a CONSTRUCTION [] firm, said its subsidiary HCM Engineering Sdn Bhd has been awarded by JKR a periodic maintenance work contract for federal roads in Zone 2A.

Protasco said the job which is due for completion by end of this year, is expected to contribute positively to the firm's earnings for financial year ending December 31, 2013.
