KUALA LUMPUR (July 22) Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) has implemented the new retirement age of 60 years for its permanent employees effective July 1, 2013 in line with the Minimum Retirement Age Act 2012.
In a statement Monday, the national oil firm said the application of the Act had however been exempted for a group of male employees who had previously accepted Petronas’ offer for variation of their retirement age from 60 years to 55 years and who had received compensation for the variation.
