KUALA LUMPUR, (July 31): The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives opened lower this morning on lack of buying interest, dealers said.

At 9.28 am, spot month July 2013 eased 19.5 points to 1,778, August 2013 was down 18.5 points to 1,780, September 2013 slipped 17.5 points to 1,780 and December 2013 declined 20.5 points to 1,780.5.

RHB Retail Research said buying support may return and a firm upward bias should see the FKLI closing back above 1,800 points.

Turnover stood at 3,490 lots while open interest totalled 40,923 contracts.

The underlying FBM KLCI fell 12.48 points to 1,782.60 after 36 minutes of trading.
