Kuala Lumpur (Aug 6): Fraser and Neave Holdings Bhd (F&N) posted a net profit of RM68.6 million for the third financial quarter to June 2013, up 33% year-on-year.
The increase was contributed mainly by higher soft drinks sales, favourable sales and channel mix, cost saving initiatives and rental contribution from its Techno Centre property, the company said.
Thailand’s operations also contributed positively due to insurance claims recognised in current quarter (flood related write-offs and expenses were incurred in the corresponding quarter last year).
For the quarter under review, revenue rose only 2% to RM910 million.
