KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 22): The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower today, on the back of a weaker cash market.
Spot month August 2013 and September 2013 lost 21.5 points each to 1,713 and
1,708, respectively, December 2013 fell 24.5 points to 1,709.5, and March 2014 slipped 26 points to 1,711.5.
Turnover rose to 18,658 lots from 9,384 lots yesterday, while open interest jumped to 53,186 contracts from 43,646 contracts yesterday.
The underlying FBM KLCI eased by 24.48 points to close at 1,720.37.
