PR1MA approves 20,000 homes

KUALA LUMPUR: PR1MA has approved 20,000 homes under 15 affordable housing projects for development in Greater Klang Valley, Johor, Penang, Sabah and Sarawak.
CEO Datuk Abdul Mutalib Alias said on Wednesday the projects had met the guidelines stipulated under the PR1MA Act 2012, with the first phase recently approved.
"These 15 new developments come under Phase 1 of the PRIMA programme. I am confident that by the end of the year, we will have more on board to meet the 80,000 homes as announced in Budget 2013," he told reporters.
Abdul Mutalib also said the details, including pricing and floor plans, would be announced over the next few months.
The homes would be priced below RM350,000, he added. Work on three of the projects have started.
