U Mobile terminates its CEO’s services

KUALA LUMPUR: U Mobile Sdn Bhd has terminated Jaffa Sany Md Ariffin as its chief executive officer (CEO) with effect from Saturday.
In a statement, U Mobile said he had also ceased to be an employee. He was appointed CEO on June 1, 2012.
The current chief operating officer Wong Heang Tuck will assume the role as the acting CEO until further notice.
U Mobile is 49% owned by Straits Mobile Investments Pte Ltd, a unit of ST Telemedia.
U Telemedia Sdn Bhd holds a 37% stake, Magnum Bhd (6.3%), Glorious Reflection Sdn Bhd (5.3%) and Tan Sri Vincent Tan (2.4%).
