Ford introduces ecoboost engines
Ford Motor Company, which launched two new imported ecoboost engine vehicles today, expects the units to be available
in showrooms in August.
"We will accept bookings for both models beginning next week," said Regional Manager, Asia Pacific, Ford Export Operations David Westerman here today.
The Ford Mondeo Titanium passenger car and the Ford S-Max multi-purpose vehicle are the first ecoboost engine models to be introduced by Ford in Malaysia.
"The Ford Mondeo, which is part of Ford's large car range, will appeal to corporates while the MPV model will be ideal for families," he told reporters after launching both models here today.
Meanwhile, Hazem Abd Rahman, Managing Director, Sime Darby Auto Connexion Sdn Bhd, the exclusive distributor for Ford cars in Malaysia, said both models would cater for the growing needs of all Malaysians.
He said the ecoboost engine models are expected to sell better than the earlier models which was launched in 2009. The new Ford Mondeo Titanium will retail between RM180,000 and RM185,000
while the Ford S-Max will sell between RM185,000 and RM188,000 on-the-road. -- Bernama
