BANGKOK (Dec 2): Police were forced to fire tear gas at anti-government
protesters determined to occupy the Government House this morning, injuring a
young male protester.
It is the second day of attempts by defiant protesters to enter the premises
housing the office of Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra.
At around 11am, protesters were still coming to the Government House.
According to the Bangkok Post, anti-government protest leader Suthep
Thaugsuban had yesterday night given an ultimatum to Yingluck to return
power to the people in two days.
Meanwhile, Yingluck held a meeting with the heads of national security
agencies at the Royal Thai Police headquarters this morning.
