YTL Communications to expand coverage, break even in 3 yrs
KUALA LUMPUR: YTL Communications Sdn Bhd is confident of breaking even in less than three years by increasing its network coverage in the country.
YTL Communications chief executive officer Wing K. Lee said on Wednesday its network covered 85% of the population and plans were underway to expand to Sabah and Sarawak.
"We have over 4,000 base stations currently and plan a few hundred more. We will be launching in East Malaysia very soon.
"We are confident (of breaking even) much sooner than that (three years)," he said at a signing ceremony, when asked if the company could break even within three years.
Wing said YTL Communications had about 700,000 subscribers.
