Gamuda unable to consider Selangor Govt’s offer for SPLASH

KUALA LUMPUR: Gamuda Bhd says it is unable to consider the takeover offer from the Selangor Government to buy Syarikat Pengeluar Air Selangor Holdings Bhd (SPLASH Holdings).
In a statement to Bursa Malaysia on Wednesday, Gamuda said the valuation methodology “is not fair” and it would seek further clarification.
“While the company is unable to consider the offer at this juncture, subject to all matters being satisfactorily concluded and agreed upon, including the unconditional approval of the board of directors and shareholders of Gamuda and/or the appropriate and relevant authorities, the company is willing to pursue an agreement with KDEB (Kumpulan Darul Ehsan Bhd),” it said.
