KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 11): Malaysia's industrial production in October rose 1.7 percent from a year earlier, above expectations, data from the Statistics Department showed on Wednesday.
A Reuters poll of 15 economists had forecast factory output would grow 1.0 percent, as a slowly improving outlook for exports supports the manufacturing and electronics sectors.
