KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 17): Bintulu Port Holdings Bhd has awarded the RM311 million Samalaju Port development project to a two-company consortium. The consortium comprises Pekerjaan Piasau Konkerit Sdn Bhd and CHEC Construction (M) Sdn Bhd.
In a filing to Bursa Malaysia, Bintlu Port said it had via its wholly-owned unit Samalaju Industrial Port Sdn Bhd issued the letter of acceptance today to the consortium.
The contract involves the construction and completion of the proposed port's wharf under phase one.
Bintulu Port said the duration of this contract will be 27 months from the notice to commence work.
