KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 24): Perbadanan PR1MA Malaysia (PR1MA) plans to launch its maiden project in Sungai Petani, Kedah within one to two months, says chief executive officer Datuk Abdul Mutalib Alias.

Abduk Mutalib said the indicative price for the planned 1,349 units of affordable homes will be up to RM250 psf.

"This development is part of the 80,000 units that PR1MA targets to achieve by the first quarter of this year. To date, the group has secured approvals for 45,000 units," he said at the memorandum of understanding documents exchange ceremony between PR1MA and Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Kedah.

PR1MA chief operating officer Datuk Aminuddin Abdul Manaf told reporters that "the firm will use the conventional approach and the development will be completed in 24 months".

Kedah chief minister Datuk Seri Mukhriz Tun Dr Mahathir had witnessed the event.
