Ringgit slightly lower against US dollar
KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit slipped against the US dollar in early trading today as investors keenly awaited the release of May's external trade data, expected later this afternoon, a dealer said.
At 9.58am, the ringgit was trading at 3.0080/0110 to the greenback compared with 3.0015/0035 at yesterday's close.
The ringgit was firmer against the Singapore dollar at 2.4499/4544, from 2.4500/4518, on Monday and strengthened against the yen to 3.7117/7177, from 3.7235/7283 yesterday.
The local unit appreciated against the pound to 4.8248/8302, from
4.8404/8443, previously but eased against the euro to 4.3559/3611, from 4.3624/3665 on Monday. - Bernama
