KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 27): MKH Bhd’s net profit for the first financial quarter ended 31/12/2013 fell over 50% to RM16.8 million, from RM 34.2 million in similar quarter the previous year.
Revenue for the quarter rose to RM182.5 million from RM147.8 million a year ago.
The group had attributed its lower profits to unrealised foreign exchange losses caused by the weakening of local and foreign currencies.
On prospects, the property group said it expects to achieve satisfactory results for the financial year ending 30 September 2014 with contributions from its property, construction and plantation divisions.
