KUALA LUMPUR (March 3): Tan Sri Clement Hii bought a total of about 40 million shares in Seg International Bhd (Segi) today and last Friday, according to stock exchange filings today.



The average acquisition price last Friday was RM1.50 while the average price for today was RM1.52. The stock closed at RM1.54 today on trades of 1.47 million shares.



After the purchase, Hii now holds 30.95% direct stake in the higher education group. His indirect or deemed interest as of today is 41.73%.



Additionally, Hii also bought some 12.4 million Segi warrants at an average price of RM1.00 per unit last Friday. The warrant closed at RM1.02 per unit today.
