KUALA LUMPUR (Mar 13): Pintaras Jaya Bhd rose to a high of 5.8% today after it announced it had won a contract worth RM74 million in the Warisan Merdeka tower project.
At 10.58 am today, Pintaras shares were traded at RM3.05, up 14 sen or 4.8% with 216,300 shares done.
The stock was among the top gainers on the bourse, rising as much as 17 sen or 5.8% to a high of RM3.08 in morning trades.
Yesterday, Pintaras announced its RM74 million contract win to undertake foundation work for the proposed Warisan Merdeka tower here.
The 118-storey Warisan Merdeka tower, under construction now, is located adjacent to the Chin Woo Stadium along Jalan Sultan. Permodalan Nasional Bhd is the developer of the tower.
Pintaras said, in a statement to Bursa Malaysia, that its subsidiary Pintaras Geotechnics Sdn Bhd had received a commencement date notice for the project from PNB Merdeka Ventures Sdn Bhd.
According to Pintaras, the foundation work will commence next Monday (March 17). The project will take about a year to complete.
