KUALA LUMPUR (Apr 25): Recently listed Caring Pharmacy Group Bhd said its net profit for the third financial quarter ended February 28, 2014, was RM6.6 million. Revenue for the quarter stood at RM81.97 million

Net profit for the nine months came to RM13.84 million while cumulative revenue for the nine months totalled RM249.70 million

The company said it had established five additional new outlets during the quarter.

“During the quarter under review, we have established an additional 5 new outlets comprising 2 shopping complex outlets, 1 street outlet and 2 specialised retail outlets. As of 28 February 2014, we have a total of 93 community pharmacies,” the wholesale drug distributor.

On prospects, the company maintains its view that the group will continue to be profitable.

“The group will maintain its strategy of opening additional community pharmacies at strategic locations to expand its customer base as well as its presence in the market while improving on same outlets’ sales,” it said.
