KUALA LUMPUR (May 8): Fraser & Neave Holdings Bhd's (F&N) share price on Bursa Malaysia rose after it delivered a "within expectation" first-half financial results for the period ended March 31, 2014.
As at 10.55 am, the counter emerged among the top gainers, rising 20 sen or 1.11 per cent to RM18.28, after opening for a one sen gain at RM18.18 with 44,800 shares changing hands.
AmResearch Sdn Bhd expected the second half of F&N's financial year to be softer, given the historical trend of a strong first half.
"Moving forward, we believe that F&N’s product mix should improve as we envisage more cross-selling within Thai Beverage," it said in a research note today.
The research firm reaffirmed its "hold" recommendation on F&N with an unchanged fair value of RM16.50 per share.
