KUALA LUMPUR (May 22): SHH Resources Holdings Bhd has received an unusual market activity (UMA) query from Bursa Malaysia. The UMA followed the recent sharp rise in the furniture manufacturer's share price.

SHH's thinly-traded shares, which closed at 53.5 sen on May 12 this year, had soared 57.5 sen or 107% to an intraday high of RM1.11 today.

"We draw your attention to the sharp rise in price of your company’s shares recently (trading activity)," Bursa said in a statement on its website today.
