| Wednesday, 06 August 2014 20:53 KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 06): Logistics company Tasco Bhd reported a sharp 73.98% rise in its net profit to RM9.97 million for the first quarter of 2014 ended June 30 (1Q14), compared to the RM5.73m that it chalked up in the previous corresponding period. Revenue for the period rose in tandem to RM134.8 million from 1Q13’s RM104.32 million, a 29.2% rise that is contributed from both its international business solutions (IBS) and domestic business solutions (DBS) segment, which posted increases of RM8.6 million (21.6%) and RM21.9 million (34.0%) year-on-year, respectively. In its filing with Bursa Malaysia today, the group also announced a final single-tier dividend of 5 sen per ordinary share, in respect of the financial year ended 31 March 2014, subject to shareholders’ approval. Its basic earnings per share shot up to 9.97 sen, compared to the previous corresponding quarter’s 5.73 sen. |
