KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 19): Maybank IB Research is "overweight" on the Sarawak construction sector with Hock Seng Lee Bhd (HSL) as its top pick.

In a note Friday, the research house said it was upbeat on significant progress in the Sarawak Corridor of Rewable Energy (SCORE) as more construction works had since rolled out and more detailed development plans drawn up to ensure sustainable growth.

“Ample construction jobs to be dished out which is medium term positive for Sarawak-based contractors and those from Peninsular with track record.

“Overweight on Sarawak construction with HSL as Top Pick," the note said.
