KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 23): A new substantial shareholder has emerged at electronic equipment manufacturer ConnectCounty Holdings Bhd ( Financial Dashboard) with a 7.95% stake in the firm, a filing with Bursa Malaysia today revealed.

Yap Shuh Jian, a Malaysian shareholder, acquired 15 million shares today via cross-sell at 19.5 sen a share.

In a separate announcement, ConnectCounty said it has fixed the issue price of its private placement issue at 13.3 sen per share.

The price is a discount of about 1.4 sen or 9.52% from the the five-day-weighted-average market price of ConnectCounty from Oct 15 to Oct 21 of approximately RM0.147 per share.

The company had, on March 24, proposed a private placement of up to 34.345 million new ordinary shares of 10 sen each to third party investors to be identified later. The proposal was approved at an extraordinary general meeting on June 1.
