WCT bags RM651.62m shopping mall construction contract
KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 29): WCT Holdings Berhad ([You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Financial Dashboard) has bagged a shopping complex construction job along Jalan Cochrane here that is worth RM651.62 million from Boustead Ikano Sdn Bhd.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, WCT said it's wholly owned subsidiary WCT Bhd had accepted a Letter of Acceptance dated Oct 27 (Monday) from Boustead Ikano for the contract.
Under the contract, the construction and property development company will undertake all the works relating to the construction of a major retail shopping centre with 2 floors of basement car parks, 4 floors of retail, food and beverage, and entertainment outlets, and 4 floors of elevated car parks.
The works is expected to be completed in second half of 2016.
WCT said the contract is expected to contribute positively to the group's future earnings and net assets.
Its counter closed 1 sen lower at RM2.10 with 289,700 shares done, translating to a market capitalisation of RM2.29 billion.
