LEESK (Fundamental: 1.4/3, Valuation: 1.5/3) is principally involved in manufacturing, trading and distribution of bedding accessories and mattresses, including high-end international brands – Napure, Tempur and Englander. 50% of its products are exported throughout South East Asia, Australia, US and Europe.
The company’s share price has risen sharply this week on active trading, gaining 57.5% to close at an all-time high of 31.5 sen yesterday.
Revenue hovered between RM60.7 million and RM62.9 million from 2010 to 2013. In 2014, LEESK reported a strong 159.6% surge in pre-tax profit to RM4.79 million, attributed, mainly, to higher sales volume and favourable forex rate.
The company expanded its retail chain stores, the International Brands Gallery (IBG), from 9 outlets in 2011 to 19 outlets by May 2014. LEESK has also widened its product offerings to include top Italian sofa brands — Calia Italiaand Meta Italia in 2012.
