Govt to save RM400m in toll compensation payout in 2015, says CIMB Research
By theedgemarkets.com / theedgemarkets.com | October 15, 2015 : 9:15 AM MYTKUALA LUMPUR (Oct 15): CIMB Research has maintained its “Overweight’ rating on the construction sector after 15-80% toll rate increase effective Oct 15 was announced for 17 major highways.
In a note Oct 13, the research house said there was no toll rate hikes for major highways under PLUS's network.
“Toll rates for Gamuda Bhd will increase by 30-50% for all of its domestic highways.
“Toll rate for IJM Corporation Bhd will increase by 20-44% for all of its domestic highways.
“Government will save circa RM400 million in compensation payout in 2015,” said the research house.
