Kurnia Asia gains on unit sale report

Kurnia Asia Bhd rose to its highest level in almost three months in Kuala Lumpur trading after the Edge newspaper reported that the company is seeking to sell its insurance unit to cut debt.
The stock gained 1.8 per cent to 56.5 sen at 9:22 a.m. local time, set for the highest close since April 22. -- Bloomberg
