In the company’s 4QFYSept2015 results, sales dropped 8.8% y-o-y to RM75.6 million, due to a general slowdown in the construction and agriculture industries. Meanwhile, net profit surged 40.8% to RM16.7 million, boosted by a RM9.7 million gain on sale of property and RM4.1 million revaluation surplus of investment properties.
UMS Holdings distributes mechanical power transmission, material handling systems and industrial spare parts. The products are used in various industries such as palm oil, sugar, quarry, cement and rubber.
The company had net cash of RM35.4 million as at Sept 30, 2015 and trades at a P/E of 7.23 times and P/B of 0.78 times.
