SHARES of CBIP (Fundamental: 3/3, Valuation: 1.8/3) triggered our momentum algorithm for the first time yesterday as it jumped 12 sen or 5.88% to close at RM2.16, with 1.63 million shares changing hands. Its market capitalisation stood at RM1.12 billion.
The group manufactures equipment and parts for palm oil mills. It is also involved in the retrofitting of special purpose vehicle and other palm oil mill related businesses such as steam energy boilers.
On Feb 4, CBIP announced a special dividend of 4 sen, bringing the total dividend payout for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2015 (FY15) to 10 sen, which translates into a yield of 4.67%.
For 9MFY15, net profit dropped by 18.4% year-on-year to RM54.7 million, while revenue fell 9.52% to RM357.3 million, due to lower project billing by the special purposes vehicle segment that was down by 40% compared with the same period a year ago.
The stock is currently trading at a trailing P/E of 13.32 and 1.67 times the book value.
