Classic Scenic (Fundamental: 2.25/3, Valuation: 1.4/3) triggered our momentum algorithm yesterday as the share price jumped 3.88% to close at RM1.34 yesterday, with 1.33 million shares traded, which is high relative to its 200-days average volume of 107,754.5. Its market capitalisation stood at RM161.47 million.
For 9MFY15, the group’s net profit dropped 8.44% to RM6.92 million from RM7.56 million a year ago, while revenue fell 8.77% to RM38.87 million from RM42.61 million in 9MFY14, due to lower export volume.
The group is expected to announce its last quarter earnings for FY15 this week. The group has been paying dividend consistently for the last 10 years with an average yield of about 11.38%.
The stock is currently trading at a trailing P/E ratio of 16.4 and 1.67 times its book value. It also has a net cash of RM22.8 million as per Sept 30, 2015.
