KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 24): Aturmaju Resources Bhd (Aturmaju), which saw its share price hit a multiple-year high of RM1.17 today, said it is not aware of any factor that may have contributed to the recent rally of its share price.

In a reply to Bursa Malaysia's unusual market activity query, Aturmaju said it is not aware of any corporate developments in relation to the group's business and affairs that has not been previously announced.

The board is also not aware of any rumour or report concerning the business and affairs of the group that may account for the trading activity, it said.

Aturmaju is involved in the processing of sawn timber. Its share price has been on the rise since Feb 17, gaining some 33.5 sen or 41.1% to trade at RM1.15 as at 3.08pm today — after some 3.15 million shares were traded — compared with 81.5 sen on Feb 17.

The current price values it at RM69.04 million.
