By Gho Chee Yuan / theedgemarkets.com | March 25, 2016 : 10:50 AM MYTKUALA LUMPUR (March 25): Shares in YLI Holdings Bhd rose nearly 5% at mid-morning today after the firm bagged a RM97.34 million contract for the Langat 2 water treatment plant project.
At 10.13am, the stock has erased part of its gain to trade at its four-month high of 72 sen, up 0.5 sen or 0.7% after 513,500 shares changed hands, valuing it at RM71.02 million.
The counter has been thinly traded with a 65-day average trading volume of 30,485 shares.
In a bourse filing yesterday, YLI Holdings Bhd said its 51%-owned subsidiary has won a RM97.34 million pipe supply contract for the Langat 2 water treatment plant.
YLI said the subsidiary, Laksana Wibawa Sdn Bhd, was appointed by the main contractor, Pembinaan Ikhasas-Merak Sdn Bhd, through Merpatih Trading Sdn Bhd, to supply pipes, fittings and related products for the project.
The Langat 2 project, which also includes a water reticulation system, is to facilitate water supply in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur.
