Mitrajaya Holdings Bhd (+ve)
SHARES in Mitrajaya (fundamental: 1.7/3, valuation: 2.4/3) gained 2.24% or three sen to close at RM1.37 with 6.55 million shares changing hands yesterday. In comparison, its 200-day average volume stood at about 1.77 million.
The group saw its net profit grow by 37.8% for its first quarter ended March 31, 2016 (1QFY16) to RM18.46 million from RM13.39 million in 1QFY15 on higher contributions from both construction and property development. Revenue for the quarter under review also rose 26.6% to RM195.5 million from RM154.5 million in 1QFY15.
Mitrajaya’s share price has gained by 14.2% year-to-date and 17.11% from a year ago. The stock has been trading in the range of 80 sen to RM1.39 in the last year.
At current level, it has a decent dividend yield of 3.59%. It is also trading at a trailing price-earnings ratio of 9.29 times and is valued at RM912.8 million.
