Kim Eng to maintain listing status
Kim Eng Securities (Thailand) Pcl, the nation’s largest stock brokerage, will maintain its listing status on the Thai bourse after a takeover by Malayan Banking Bhd.
The Malaysian lender owns about 85 per cent of the Thai brokerage after the completion of a tender offer, Montree Sornpaisarn, Kim Eng’s chief executive officer, told reporters in Bangkok today.
The Thai brokerage can maintain its listing as the bourse requires at least 15 per cent of a company’s stock to be owned by minority shareholders, he said. -- Bloomberg
