Nylex pre-tax profit slips to RM16m

Nylex (Malaysia) Bhd's pre-tax profit slipped to RM16 million for the financial year ended May 31, 2011 from RM40 million reported in 2010.
However, revenue rose 0.4 per cent to RM1.23 billion, from RM1.22
billion registered last year, driven by improved sales in both the polymer and industrial chemical division.
In a filing to Bursa Malaysia today, the company said performance for the financial year ending May 31, 2012 was expected to be satisfactory. -- Bernama
