Nasim plans more Peugeot outlets
BALAKONG: Nasim Sdn Bhd, the local distributor of Peugeot vehicles, has sold 3,082 units of the French marque for the first six months this year, more than double the volume in the same period last year.
Nasim, a Naza Group company, is projecting to sell 7,000 units of Peugeot vehicles this year.
Yesterday, Nasim launched its latest Peugeot showroom in Balakong, to cater to the demand in the area as well as South Cheras, Kajang, Semenyih, Seri Kembangan, Serdang and Bangi.
Nasim chief operating officer Datuk Samson Anand George said the new showroom is part of a nationwide expansion exercise to tap the up and coming demand for Peugeot cars.
The company plans to launch five more new Peugeot outlets by August this year costing between RM2 million and RM5 million each.
Out of the five showrooms, one belongs to Nasim while the rest will be owned by its dealers. It currently has 19 Peugeot sales outlets nationwide.
"We are also looking at launching a 2S centre in Balakong this year to cater to the existing and prospective Peugeot owners," said Samson.
The new 2S centre will be located near the sales showroom and will be one of the largest Peugeot after sales centres in the country, he added.
Nasim also previewed the Peugeot 207 SV at the new showroom, with a target of selling about 50 units per month.
The 207 SV is a new variant in the 207 sedan line-up and is targeted at young adults and buyers looking for an exciting B-segment sedan.
The 207 SV features a new sporty body kit comprising new front, rear and side skirting that conveys a muscular and athletic appeal. It sells at RM76,888
