Mulpha’s Hayman resort re-opens
PETALING JAYA: Mulpha International Bhd's Hayman, a five-star private island destination on Australia's Great Barrier Reef, has been re-opened following a five-month forced period of closure due to the damage caused by tropical cyclones Anthony and Yasi earlier this year.
Mulpha said “extensive works” were carried out during the closure and that Hayman now had a new garden landscape “weaving its way through the resort.”
It said in a statement yesterday that respected landscape designer Jamie Durie had been recreating the Hayman garden which was severely impacted by the cyclones.
“This masterpiece of 16 ha reveals a stunning botanical garden where some 33,000 new plants and 327 new plant species have been introduced, providing tranquillity, colour and an incredible variety of perfumes as the native birds, butterflies and wildlife regain their wonderful island home.”
