MHC Plant rises on Q2 profit surge

MHC Plantations Bhd, a Malaysian oil palm and rubber planter, rose the most in eight weeks in Kuala Lumpur trading after second-quarter profit almost tripled to RM9 million.

The stock climbed 4 per cent to RM1.30 at 9:03 a.m. local time, set for the steepest gain since June 8. -- Bloomberg
