SP Setia Bhd is currently not in any takeover talks with Eastern and Oriental Bhd (E&O) or its shareholders.

SP Setia “continuously assesses possibilities for strategic partnerships and landbanking opportunities,” it said in a statement in Kuala Lumpur today.

The company was responding to a financial daily report that the Malaysian developer is among other companies keen to buy a stake in Eastern and Oriental. - Bloomberg
