Bina Darulaman unit gets jobs totaling RM30.61m

KUALA LUMPUR: BINA DARULAMAN BHD []’s wholly owned unit, Syarikat Bina Dan Kuari Kedah Sdn Bhd (BINAK), has secured separate contracts worth a combined RM30.61 million.
Bina Darulaman said the first contract was a project worthRM15.49 million from the Kedah state government to complete the remaining upgrading works at Jalan Tanjung Bendahara, Alor Star.
In a filing Monday, Aug 8, the company BINAK had received the letter of award for the project from the state government on July 27.
It said the contract was for a one period from Aug 8, 2011 to Aug 5, 2012.
In a separate announcement, Bina Darulaman said BINAK had secured a contract worth RM15.12 million from Kedah Sato Sdn Bhd for road and pavement works at the Kolej Universiti Insaniah (KUIN) in Baling, Kedah.
It said the contract was for 11 months from Aug 15, 2011 to June 15, 2012.
The company said the projects were expected to contribute positively to its earnings for the financial years 2011 and 2012.
