Nikkei drops 3.4 pct, below 9,000 after Wall St sell-off
TOKYO: The Nikkei share average dropped 3.4 percent on Tuesday, sinking below 9,000 for the first time since mid-March, after Wall Street fell 6 percent on growing fears of a recession and in reaction to the United States' loss of its triple-A credit rating. – Reuters
