Briefing on MAS-AirAsia deal at 3.30pm

Khazanah Nasional Bhd. and Tune Air Sdn. plan to hold a joint briefing at 3.30 pm today on Malaysian Airline System Bhd and AirAsia Bhd, according to an e-mailed media invitation today.
The two companies’ stocks are suspended pending a material announcement, according to exchange filings yesterday.
Tune, AirAsia’s biggest shareholder, may agree to exchange a 10 per cent stake in the low-cost carrier for some of Khazanah’s Malaysian Air stock held, said a person involved in the discussions yesterday, who couldn’t be named as the talks were private. - Bloomberg
