P1 signs partnership with eight SBCs
KUALA LUMPUR: Packet One Networks Sdn Bhd (P1) has signed an agreement with eight state-backed companies (SBC) to further boost its 4G service proposition in the country.
In a statement today, P1 said the eight SBC companies all came under the umbrella of the Persatuan Penyelia Infrastruktur Telekomunikasi (PPIT).
"We now have one agreement with the SBCs, a consolidated partnership and one seamless execution to further enhance the operational efficiency in our 4G expansion network," said P1's Chief Executive Office, Michael Lai.
In the past, P1 has worked with individual states to secure
telecommunication tower leases, but this agreement standardised its commitment to working with all states as well as boosting its 4G network rollout.
The eight SBCs involved in the partnership are Desabina Industries Sdn Bhd (Terengganu), D'Harmoni Telco Infra Sdn Bhd (Johor), Infra Quest Sdn Bhd (Kelantan), Konsortium Jaringan Selangor (Selangor), Rangkaian Minang (NS) Sdn Bhd (Negeri Sembilan), Perak Integrated Network Services Sdn Bhd (Perak), Yiked Bina Sdn Bhd (Kedah), Perlis Comm Sdn Bhd (Perlis). - Bernama
