LCTH suffers bigger Q2 pre-tax loss

LCTH Corp Bhd's pre-tax loss for the second quarter ended June 30, 2011 rose to RM4.68 million from RM2.02 million in the same quarter last year.
Its revenue declined to RM27.6 million from RM32.87 million previously.
In a filing to Bursa Malaysia today, LCTH said the lower revenue was mainly due to the major consumer having shifted its business to China in prior year and the new business base has not been fully developed to recover the loss in sales.
For the six-month period ended June 30, 2011, its pre-tax loss rose to RM9.40 million from RM1.93 million in the same period of 2010.
Its revenue fell to RM51.19 million from RM76.46 million previously. -- Bernama
