Petronas, partners in RM15b gas project

Petroliam Nasional Bhd and its partners agreed to develop natural gas reserves from discovered fields off the coast of Peninsular Malaysia and build a pipeline for a total cost of RM15 billion, according to a statement from the state oil company today.
The project in the North Malay Basin involves developing nine discovered gas fields within Blocks PM301 and PM302 in the Bergading contract area.
It will also construct a 200-kilometer gas pipeline from the fields to Kerteh in Terengganu state. -- Bloomberg
